Last Sunday: celebrating the first day of spring in Siberia (quite absurd, but it's like this)

BOOTS!! it isn't that obvious what to wear if you walk all day long on the snow or some other cold surface, with that -25°C

Here, in Siberia, it's objectively cold. The average temperature for February is -20 C --  yesterday was -21, today is -19 -- it's called subarctic climate. The snow stays in the city for 5, sometimes even 6 months. As I'm huge fan of winter, I love it here! What is really great, that as all the time the temperatures are negatives, the snow doesn't melt, like in Krakow or Brussels: it stays on the streets, in parks and gardens all the time, it doesn't get greenish, brownish and disgusting. And the people here know very well how to deal with it on their roads and other pathways. And as we walk, we can hear "scratch, scratch" with every single step!

Today is -10, and we realized that we're pretty warm outside -- we're getting used, I think.
I'm in Irkutsk, in Siberia, for a month... We told ourselves today that there is something quite elitist in this idea of spending your February in Siberia.
I'll try to pass you some of my impressions, observations and experiences from this end of the world. Even if just while ago my workshop group decided to persuade me that in fact, Irkutsk is in the very center of everything.
who sent me here? (very official Thank You, Isabelle!!)
+ English is somehow the compromise between Polish and French readers ...
